Our Mini and Junior section has grown a lot recently - we're a friendly club, where we take our rugby seriously, but most of all we just love seeing kids out on the pitch running around, making friendships and getting some exercise. If you've got a bit of time to offer - or you're here on a Sunday morning anyway, and think you could help, contact Giles White our Volunteer Coordinator, or Minis/Junior Chairman Craig Sheppard, or your age-group coach, and they'll talk you through it.
Like all community sports clubs, volunteers are the lifeblood of Combe Down RFC. So why not come and get involved. We are always on the lookout for coaches, cooks, First Aiders, team managers and fundraisers. We'll support you with any training that you need for the role - but most of the roles just require a little bit of your time. As a minimum we'll ask you to do a quick online course, run by the RFU - eLearning Introduction to Safeguarding. Some roles may require a DBS check (paid for and organised by the Club) and, of course, First Aiders require a little training - ideally, an RFU Emergency First Aid in Rugby Union course, and a Headcase Concussion Awareness course. Coaches will need to do a Tackle Safe course - and if you want to develop your coaching skills, we will pay your attendance at any RFU approved coaching course.
We have training and matches on Sunday mornings from 10-11.30am, and some Minis age-groups train on a Tuesday or Thursday evening, while our older (12 years+) train on a Wednesday.
Which role are you interested in?
First Aid - you will need to complete an online Safeguarding Course, a DBS and an RFU Emergency First Aid in Rugby Union course

Fundraiser - no specific training required
